The finished dragon head which began here. I managed to get a lovely scaly skin texture on him which unfortunately will be hard to reproduce in the future..

“Frog and Toadstool”. A little piece I recently did for my friend.
-
The beginnings of a dragon head commission that I’ve been working on for the last year– and recently finally finished!

This is a pedestal creature that I started while doing demo’s: for the MAEA conference last October and for Northwest college in November. The first images are how far it got during the demos and the rest are after the sculpting was completed but before paint.

Yes, this now exists– a raccoon foot back scratcher. I’ve had the idea of making it for a while now and which enjoyed its humble beginnings here.
-
One of three Ice Swan head hat hooks that I made for Christmas. One of which was donated to a winter Audubon auction and the other two are hanging around under a hat somewhere in my house..

So back in November I was invited by my good friend Rebecca– an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University in Powell Wy– to be a visiting artist for a few days (more on those lectures and demos later). Anyway, while I was there Rebecca and I took a quick trip down to Thermopolis to visit the Dinosaur museum. They have quite a few world class specimens there. It was pretty incredible..
